Agnes M. Milligan, 92 of Indianapolis, formerly of Bloomington, passed away Monday July 19, 2010 at the Westside Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Indianapolis. Agnes was one of eight children born to John D. and Marian Winning Milligan in Bloomington on July 31, 1917. She was a graduate of Bloomington High School and spent her professional career as a bookkeeper for The Feltus Printing company’s Star-Courier newspaper and then for the Indiana University accounting department. Agnes was a lifelong member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and also a member of the Gamma Alpha Chapter of the Lambda Chi Omega Philanthropic Sorority in Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David, Alexander, and John Milligan; and sisters Christina Milligan, Marian Douglass, Mary Catherin Frankinburger, and Isabella Brown. Agnes leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Thursday July 22, 2010 at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church 2222 East Third Street, Bloomington at 11:00AM. Friends may call at the church from 10:00AM Thursday until the time of the mass at 11:00AM. Burial for Agnes will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.   Allen Funeral Home 4155 South Old Highway 37 Bloomington, is handling the arrangements.
