Avaline M. Waller, 87, of Bloomington died early Thursday morning at Golden Living Center in Bloomington.  She was born on December 27, 1922 in Monroe County the daughter of Thomas Edward and Rosie Charlotte (Clark) Vaught.  She was a former employee of RCA of Bloomington and a lifelong, faithful member of Sanders Pentecostal Church.

          Throughout her lifetime, Avaline centered her life around her church and her family.  During early years, she was a caregiver and role model for the younger brothers and sisters.  She always maintained an open door policy in her home and was eager to put another place at the table to all that came.  Her family centered around her and as such, her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews loved her dearly.

          Survivors include three sisters, Glenda Dunlap and Doris Marcene McNew (husband Jack), both of Bloomington and Imogene (husband Raymond) Robertson of Sosberry, two brothers, Roger (wife Linda) Vaught and Duane Vaught, both of Bloomington and one brother-in-law, Homer Bouher of Ellettsville.

          She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee D. Walker, her parents, one sister, Geraldine Bouher and one nephew, Kevin Dunlap.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Sanders Pentecostal Church with Rev. Joe Nelson and Bro. Tommy Vaught officiating.  Burial will be at Smithville Cemetery.  Friends may call today (Thursday) from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old St. Rd. 37 and at the church one hour preceding the services on Saturday.

          Memorial contributions may be made to the Sanders Pentecostal Church Building Fund in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenfuneralhome.org
