Bernard J. Novak, 88, of Bloomington passed away November 7, 2011 at the Meadowood Health Center.  Bernard was born, August 8, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA to Stanley and Mary (Wolny) Novak. He worked in the Steel Industry for Jones and Laughlin Steel as a Supervisor of Production, Planning and Customer Service at the Cold Finished Bar Divisions, Willimantic, Ct., Pittsburgh, PA and Hammond, IN. He retired in 1986.

 Bernard was a graduate of St. Michael's High School. Bernard attended college at the University of Hartford, and the University of Connecticut.

 Bernard is a member of the St. Paul Catholic Center in Bloomington, IN. and the Knights of Columbus Whiting, Indiana Council.

 Surviving family members include his wife Anne (Dorsey) Novak of Bloomington, sons, Michael Novak of Indianapolis, IN, Paul Novak of Galveston, Texas, and Mark Novak of Carmel, IN. He is also survived by one sister Dorothy Manganaro of Pittsburgh, PA, three grandchildren Ian, Anna, and Matthew.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Patrick Novak.

 A memorial service will be held, 11am, Friday November 11, 2011 at the St. Paul Catholic Center.

 Burial will take place at the Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington, IN.
