Betty L. Dukes, 91, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the Richland-Bean Blossom Health Care Center. She was the daughter of Ralph and Leah (Maten) Burk born on September 28, 1919 in Crawfordsville, Indiana.  Betty was a Homemaker and worked six years as an accountant in the Seymour area. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the IU Varsity Club and lifetime member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid bingo player.  Betty is survived by her son Tom Dukes and wife Julie of Bloomington, IN; two grandsons Ben Dukes and Nick Dukes both of Bloomington, IN; one nephew Greg Hall and his family of Pittsboro, IN; and several extended nieces and nephews.  Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert Dukes and one sister Wanda Hall. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Allen Funeral Home with Glenn Stidd officiating. Entombment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 12- 2p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Monroe County Humane Association in memory of Betty.
