Catherine P. Stigall, 82, of Bloomington, passed away at 9:50pm Sunday, April 15, 2012 at IU Health-Bloomington Hospital.  She was born in Bloomington on June 15, 1929 to the late Kenneth Gray and Mildred (McCue) Gray Fowler.  She was a 1947 graduate of Bloomington High School.  Catherine married Robert E. Stigall on April 6, 1952 and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. She worked for many years at the IU Main Library, retiring in 1992 and was a long time member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray M. Phelps, her brother David Gray, her daughter Catherine M. Stigall, and her grandson David Stigall.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Robert E. Stigall, her son John (spouse Terry) Stigall of Bloomington, her daughter Mary (spouse Jim) Hammons of Muncie, IN,  her grandchildren Aaron Stigall of Lancaster, CA, Justin Stigall of Houston, TX, Allison Stigall of San Francisco, CA and Robert and Jonathan Hammons of Muncie and her best friend of 77 years, Ann Floyd of Ellettsville.

Funeral services will be 1pm Friday April 20th at Allan Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Hurley officiating. Visitation will be preceding the service from 11am to 1pm.  Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial  Gardens .
