Phil and family: Certainly your sorrows have been many. Yet, the comfort of God's love and His assurance is greater than all the sorrows. Lean on Him, and let us, your brethren, help as well in carrying your burden. (Gal. 6:2).

I am in shock and so sorry to learn of the passing of Chris. We went to North together-- in the same class. He was a great friend, musician, and most everyone I knew wanted to be him, date him, or be his best friend. We had great times in marching band. He will be missed and I am very sad; he made the world a better place in alot of ways. Sincerely, Angie Bell-Brosmer

Chris, From the years together at the country palace thru the Route 2 band thanks for sharing the music. One of the most talented musicians I ever shared the stage with. After the shows at the palace would we play a game called Stump Chirs. We would name a song to see if he could play it and he could play them all. RIP my friend I am going to miss you but you are in God's band now. Phil and the rest of the family my heart thoughts and prays are with you during this time. My God bless and keep you always.

I have never met a more musically gifted person. Chris' gift came from God and he glorified Him by his talent. I was fortunate enough to share a side of the stage with Chris for five years at The Country Palace and he helped me to feel welcome in the band. Even when I would lose place in the music, Chris was quick to lend me a chart written the right way. He was patient, kind, and caring. I remember those times, as Randy mentioned, trying our best to stump Chris with a song we assumed he could not play. Even if he had never attempted the song he would place his hands on the keyboard and raise his eyes to the ceiling while hearing the song in his head. Within a few seconds his fingers hammered out the tune effortlessly while Chris smiled...and he did it every time. I will miss you, Chris, and I will never forget those moments in the music with you. Rest in God's loving arms.

Dear Spaulding Family....I am at a "loss for words" right now...let me start by saying that I have never been so "uplifted" in my music career than when I was with Chris on stage. His "INCREDIBLE TALENT", his warm smile, his professionalism...he always let others have the spotlight, but "his light" always shown through. He never realized his talent to its full potential, and took praised modestly...I am soooo fortunate that he actually shared some of his music with me this past spring when I came to town to visit. I was finally able to convince him to share it with me on CD...A GIFT I WILL ALWAYS TREASURE!!! May you rest in peace Christopher Scoot Spaulding, and know you will be so truly missed, but envied that you are in heaven with our maker! Until we meet again, Love, Candace

I was very sadden to hear of Chris' passing. We went to school together for several years. Graduated the same year. Lived in the same neighborhood. I am sure he is still beating on the drums. RIP

Dear Spaulding Family, I am so sorry to learn of Chris's untimely death. I spent countless hours playing with Chris and in school with Chris from Kindergarten at Fairview through high school graduation at North. Chris was a phenomenal musician - and we always glad when he took over a piano in any band classroom we shared with him. He played amazing drum riffs on the back of the bus seeats, coming and going from school. He was a gentle soul and I am so sorry for your loss. Christy Davis - Chris's neighbor for 18 years
