Daniel Michael Colleran, age 90 of Bloomington, passed away Saturday May 21, 2011 at Garden Villa in Bloomington. He was born November 18, 1920 in Spaulding, Nebraska to William Patrick and Marie Paulson Colleran. Daniel was a graduate of Creighton University, and spent his professional career with Crane Division Naval Surface Warfare Center retiring as the deputy controller. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Bloomington. He leaves behind his wife Twylla Bjugstad Colleran of Bloomington; daughter Karen Marie Slaven of Odon; son Terence M. Colleran and his wife Jeanne of Acworth, Georgia; son Dennis Colleran of Bloomington; granddaughter Hollie McDowell and her husband Gabriel of Indianapolis, and granddaughter Lenell Colleran of Bloomington. He also leaves behind his great grandson Gibson McDowell. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother James Edward Colleran and a sister Lucille Beale. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday May 26, 2011 at 10:00AM at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church 4607 West State Road 46.
