David Lee Jones of Bloomington was born on June 26, 1974 in Arkansas. He was the youngest son born to the late Bessie Mae Jones and George B. Jones, his parents.  David Lee Jones confessed to Christ at an early age. The Lord called him from labor on Sunday September 26, 2010 at 9:25AM. David was lovingly the kind of person who never met a stranger. He had a joyous spirit and was always full of laughter. Despite all of his illnesses and challenges his strength surprised many people. His children were his sole purpose for living and he worked hard and gave of himself in many ways. Family and friends could always count on a great joke and beautiful smile. He attended Harrodsburg United Methodist Church and loved fishing, cooking and working on cars. David leaves to cherish his precious memories his three children Knesha,  Adya, and Davon Jones; five sisters Shelia Naphier, Rose Jones, Bertha Cook, Janice Jones, Diane Jones; brothers Robert Bradford, Allen Warren, Theodis Jones, Tommy Jones, Cleveland Jones, George Dorris Jr. and other relatives, friends, neighbors and his special caregiver, loving sister Rose Jones. David was preceded in death by a son David Lee Jones Jr., Grandfather Terry Jones, Brothers George Jones Jr. and Bo Jones and a sister Mable Willey. A Memorial Service will be held for David Saturday October 2, 2010 at 1:00PM at the Clear Creek Christian Church. Allen Funeral Home 4155 South Old Highway 37 is handling the arrangements.
