We lost a dear friend in Deb Cassidy. Deb was a super gal, a great friend, had a great sense of humor with a wonderful quick wit that couldn't be matched, and could make us all "laugh out loud." She was a treasure and will be missed. If I live to be a hundred, I will never forget how she could make me laugh. She left her mark on me.

To Deb's Family, I'm so very sorry about your loss. After over 30 years, Deb found me on Facebook and I'm so glad she did. I was touched that she remembered me and made the effort to find me. That truly demonstrated the warmth, caring and love the Deb had abundance of. We met again at the recent Northrop High School reunion and had a blast. The 30 years melted away and our friendship was renewed. I'm grateful that we reconnected, if only, for a brief time. Marjorie, thank you for giving us Deb. Your daughter was so very special. Please let me know when the memorial will be held in Fort Wayne and I'll do my best to come down. You're in my prayers, Susan Bates (Sue Kuckuck)

I am very sorry for your loss. I worked with Deb many years ago at HUD but had reasons to reconnect with her a few times later. The wonderful thing about Deb was that no matter much time passed between visits...it is if no time has passed at all. She always welcomed you like she saw you yesterday and was happy to see you again today. Always smiling, always laughing, always witty, and always happy. I am sure she will be missed very much. My prayers are with you. God Bless.

I was deeply saddened to hear the news about Deb. She was a friend from GWCC and had the ability to make people laugh. She was very witty and found humor in even mundane situations. She was very proud of her children. When my husband and I adopted our baby girl "Katy Beth" two years ago, Deb wrote in a card to us: "wishing you all the joy as my children have given me - one is "Katie bug"! I hope this will bring comfort to her children during this sad time to know that their mother was very proud of them. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Deb's family and friends.

I met Deb a few years ago. She was a fan of the band that my wife Carolyn and I have. I'd see her at shows and smile and say "Hi." One day we were formally introduced to each other by Nat Oliphant-McKamey and we became friends. Others have mentioned Deb's wit and humor. We both loved goofing around and making each other and our friends laugh. Deb was just always so good-natured and upbeat, and her humor reflected that. I will think of her and try to be more like her in this way. I hope that your own happy memories of Debra brings you peace and consolation in time.

Saw Deb again just 2 weeks ago and it was like we just left high school and had never been parted. She was a special person with a shinning light all her own. Very glad to have had her in my life and will hold on now to the fact that I will see her again someday. Love you "DB" Ann

To Deb's children and family. I just saw Deb two weeks ago at our high school reunion. She drove that night and we had a wonderful time. Deb was one of the wittiest most compassionate women I know. She reached out to everyone, no matter what "group" they belonged to. We had a blast in high school band. On Facebook, I reconnected and had a nice chat with her a few days before her death. I will always carry her in my heart. My heartfelt prayers are sent especially to her daughter, who should never lose a mother, much less find her deceased. Deb will still be present to each of you (us) if we only keep our hearts open. Deb will find a way to let us know she is in the caring arms of a loving entity.

Deb was a wonderful person. I have not yet absorbed that she is gone. She was selfless, generous, kind, funny and very dear. I met her through CHADD where she volunteered tirelessly for others to educate and support folks with AD/HD. She worked on my campaigns for the local school board. She was a rock. May her memory be a blessing to all who loved and knew her.

I was shocked to hear of my good friend's passing. I've known Deb since our days at Tri-State University and even though we didn't see each other often, it never seemed like we missed a beat. She was one of the few people who could always make me smile. I will miss you, Deb. Love you.
