Delmar C. Deckard, 75, of Bloomington passed away peacefully Thursday at his residence.  He was the son of Ralph R. and Ruby D. (Frye) Deckard, born on March 14, 1935 in Monroe County. He worked several years as a route salesman for Holland Dairy and managed five Marks Food Stores and Zippy Marts in Bloomington, Bedford and Orleans. He was a member of the Truth Apostolic Tabernacle in Smithville. He was a loving Husband and Father, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. Delmar is survived by his wife, Nancy Sue (Hamm) Deckard; three daughters Rosetta (Deckard) Andis, Loretta (Deckard) Brothers and Joyce (Deckard) Clark; one son Delmar K. Deckard; six grandchildren Christina Strunk, Gina Tieman, Charles Deckard, Ruby Tarter, Ricky Deckard and Willie Monroe; five great-grandchildren Anthony Strunk, Issac Strunk, Kaylie Tieman, Kamryn Slade and Kamin Strunk; two sisters Delores Eads and Daisy E. Simpson; and three brothers Dale L. Deckard, Donald R. Deckard and Dwight M. Deckard. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Diana Groh. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Clear Creek Cemetery with Pastors James Barker and Aaron Strunk officiating. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Bloomington Hospital.

    Nancy & family, so sorry to hear about Delmar, I wish I could come in person, but I am not able to at this time, Delmar was one of the first persons I met when I came to Bloomington & started working for my cousin Bob Crandal at the Old South Side Market, though it has been a long time since I have seen Either of you I never forgot.     My Dad lived a wonderful life. In the past years his life was very diffcult for all of his family. I would like to Thank everyone who visited and kept our family in their prayers.
