Dorothy B. Richardson, 86, of Bloomington, passed away January, 6, 2012 at Garden Villa Nursing Home Dorothy was born on March 25, 1925 in Smithville, IN to John L. and Opal (Todd) Deckard.

 

Surviving family members include her two daughters, Ms Jennifer R. McCormick of Bloomington and Mrs. Nancy Nedal (John) of Ghanna,  Ohio, siblings, Doris Clark, Sharon (Claude) Trinkle, Rex D. (Marilyn) Deckard, and Joe David Deckard. "Mimi" (Dorothy) both adored and was adored by  grandson John Marshall McCormick (Jane) of Atlanta, GA and granddaughter Victoria Patton Sturbaum (Sam) of Bloomington. She was very proud of her great grandchildren, brothers Joey Salgado and Mac Mccormick, sister and brother, Scarlett and Oscar Sturbaum.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert C Richardson, her beloved grandson Robert A. "Mac" McCormick, her precious infant daughter Lu Annette Richardson born August 5th 1953, her brothers Bill, Herald (Lefty) , Jack Deckard  and her nephew Harold (Butch) Deckard.

 

Family will receive friends from 10-11am Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 S. Old State Highway 37.  The Committal Service will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter 3410 S. Walnut Street Bloomington, IN 47403.
