Dorothy I. Patton, 78, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at her daughter’s residence. She was the daughter of Sylvester and Cecelia (Clark) Allen born on October 25, 1931 in Bloomington, IN. Dorothy was a Home Health Aide. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and helping take care of people. Here lies a Rich Woman Beautiful in all ways These are her treasures, seven children Don Hollingsworth and wife Debbie of Bloomington, Diane Freeman and husband Russell of Spencer, Jim Patton and wife Cindy of Bloomington, Tim Patton and wife Doris of Springville, Brian Patton and wife Judy of Monrovia, Susan Patton of Bloomington, and Victoria Purtlebaugh and husband Dan of Bloomington; one sister Elizabeth Trapp of California; twenty seven grandchildren and forty six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Julia McGlocklin, sister Lois Rush, three grandchildren Steven Patton, Timothy Patton Jr., and James Patton Jr., and great-granddaughter Madison Jones. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Allen Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
