Dear Maggie and the Ludlow family, I am so, so sorry for your loss. Even though I never got to meet him, I heard how incredible a person Rod was, and I so appreciate how he generously donated his time to help a small business in Minneapolis get started. I could tell by how much he meant to Maggie that he was a really special person. You're in my thoughts, Michelle

I got to know Rod while living in Meadowood from 2004 thru 2006. We shared a common love for jazz, and Rod introduced me to the Bloomington Jazz scene. Rod was a leader, a great guy, and fun to be with. He will be missed. I'm making a donation to Doctors Without Borders in Rod's name. My sincere condolences to his family.

I am sorry to hear about Rodman. I spoke with him on the phone many times regarding his reimbursements at EMU as a retiree. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.

To Rod's family. My name is Kim Cook. My father was Lud Miller, a fellow resident at Meadowood who passed away in Nov of 2009. I am sure that you have heard of the coincidence of my father's given name and your family name being the same. Dad and Rod had a good time seeing if your family was related to the Robert Fulton Ludlow for whom my grandfather and father were named. (I think they thought not). I traveled to St. Martin with my father and yours three years ago and was enchanted by your dad. We enjoyed listening to music during the group dinners, and he enjoyed dancing with anyone who would dance with him! It was fun getting to know him. I know that my father enjoyed his friendship with your dad and I know that Rod will be greatly missed by everyone at Meadowood. I always looked forward to seeing him when I went there (I was there just last month dining with Shirley Anderson). Please accept my condolences for your loss. Kim Cook
