Duane Vaught, 85, of Bloomington passed away on Sunday morning, March 27, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Bloomington. He was born in Monroe County on August 26, 1925 the son of Thomas and Rosie Charlotte (Clark) Vaught. He retired from PTS Electronics as a tester and spent many years as a television repairman. He worked for Morrison’s Appliance Store and also owned and operated his own television repair business. His interest in electronics even inspired him to build his own television set and even a computer. He also held an interest in photography. First and foremost however in his life was his love of his family, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
Survivors include three sisters; Glenda Dunlap of Bloomington, Imogene (husband Raymond) Robertson of Solsberry, and Marcene (husband Jack) McNew of Bloomington, one brother, Roger Vaught (wife Linda) Vaught of Bloomington , one brother-n-law, Homer Bouher of Ellettsville, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Geraldine Bouher and Avaline Walker and two nephews, Kevin Dunlap and Tommy Bouher.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Nelson officiating. Burial will be at Smithville Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
