Elsie Maxine Adams age 73 of Ellettsville passed away early Sunday morning the 26th of December 2010 at the Residence at McCormick’s Creek in Spencer. She was born July 9, 1937 in Spencer County, Indiana one of the six children of James and Marie Lampkins. Maxine was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith. She leaves behind her daughter Becky Wilson and her husband Mark of Ellettsville; daughter Cindy Adams also of Ellettsville and a son Donald R. Adams of Dale, Indiana. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister Freda Powers of Grandview, Indiana, and sisters Anne Wirthwein, Sue Lampkins and Mary Rudisel all of Rockport, Indiana. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Otto D. Adams and a brother James Lampkins. The family has asked that anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in Maxine’s name may do so thru the Multiple Sclerosis Society in her memory. Maxine’s family also wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the entire staff at the Residence at McCormick’s Creek for the outstanding and compassionate care of their mother.
