Ernest E. Owens, 80, of Bloomington passed away Sunday July 4, 2010 at the Bloomington Hospital. He was born on March 28, 1930 in Monroe County to William and Anna Flo Turner Owens. Ernest was a 1948 graduate of Bloomington High School, a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and spent his professional career with AT&T as an installer. He is survived by his daughter Rebecca Owens of Bloomington, his son Richard Owens of Lowell, Michigan and a brother, Richard Owens of Stinesville, Indiana. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carolyn Lettelleir Owens in 2000, and sisters Berniece Owens and Thelma Sims. Private family services were held for Ernest.
