Fay Bullard, age 74 of Bloomington passed away Tuesday afternoon May 31, 2011 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born in Mason, Texas on February 2, 1937 to Irvin and Essie Brawley Atchely. Fay spent her professional career in health care as a home health aide. She was know by her family for her unselfish contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and various Veterans Associations. She will be most fondly remembered for her "green thumb", and her ability to nurse many a dreary plant back to life. Fay leaves behind her daughter Katherine Lynn Tipton of Norfolk, Virginia; son Ronald Craig Tipton; daughter Tammy Lauren Sewell and her husband Ken of Los Angeles, California; daughter Robin Ann Nelson and her husband Roger of Bloomington; daughter Nancy Cherise Bullard and her husband Ryan of Boulder, Colorado; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brother Lewis Atchley of Arizona; sister Barbara Carlton of Colorado; sister Shirley Rodriguez of the State of Washington; sister Theda Rumery of Colorado, and sister Wanda Tiataque of Idaho. Private family services will be held for Fay. The family has asked that memorial contributions may be made in Fay's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
