Franklin Wayne Thompson age 55 of Bloomington passed away at his residence Sunday November 7, 2010. He was born December 2, 1954 in Bloomington to Robert and Betty Schultz Thompson. Franklin graduated from Bloomington South High School and spent his professional career as a painter in the greater Bloomington area; proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp and truly loved the outdoors, specifically fishing. He leaves behind his daughter Amber L. Cowden and son Robert A. Cowden, both of Bloomington as well as his son Michael Hopper of Indianapolis. Franklin also leaves behind his grandchild Sydney Cowden as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Debra Cowden, a son Shannon Cowden and a brother Ronnie Thompson. Visitation for Franklin will be held Wednesday November 10, 2010 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 South Old Highway 37.     hey family of wayne he was a dear friend of mine and ronnie parks we lived a floor away we seen him very litte but everytime he was so sweet and giving and ronnie and i miss him so much. amber and bobby your lucky to have grown up with wayne being your dad. im SORRY 4 YOUR LOSS!
