| Date Of Death: | January 8, 2012 |

Gayle R. (Gus) Dvorak, age 74, of Bloomington, IN passed away
Sunday evening. He was born July 26, 1937 in Black River Falls, WI
to Joseph and Esther (Meyer) Dvorak.
He graduated with an accounting degree from Spencerian College
in Milwaukee, WI, where he also served as president of the local
and international chapters of the Pi Rho Zeta business
fraternity.
Gus then started his own accounting firm in Milwaukee, where he
served his clients for almost fifty years. Generous and thoughtful
to a fault, he would often bring treats for his clients' children
and pets when he visited them, and would always brighten up a room
with his quick wit, stories, and kind personality.
He enjoyed volunteering his time and services to many
organizations, including the Alverno College Society of Fine Arts,
the Milwaukee Catholic Symphony Orchestra, and the Matt Talbot
Lodge.
Gus assisted and mentored many small businesses, and was a
brilliant and unique "entrepreneurial accountant". After
selling his first accounting practice, he explored opportunities in
radio station ownership, a specialty packaging company, and
numerous other ventures. Most recently, he served in an advisory
role as CPA Emeritus for Pinnacle Asset Management, where he was
able to lend his experience and knowledge to young, growing
companies.
Gus was a life-long, avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, and was
an excellent Monday morning quarterback. He enjoyed playing board
games and doing jigsaw puzzles with his grandchildren, and also
loved to take them fishing.
Gus is survived by his wife of 44 years, Norene (Piber) Dvorak
of Bloomington, IN; two brothers, Douglas (Rosemary) Dvorak of
Hatfield, WI, and Dennis (Delia) Dvorak of West Allis, WI, his
daughter, Lucia (Mike) Yeager of Albuquerque, NM, and his sons
Peter (Jany) of Naples, FL and Andrew Joseph of Bloomington, IN.
"Grandpa Dude" will be greatly missed by his eight grandchildren;
Nathan, Samuel, Rachael, Rebecca, Kevin, Austin, Nicholas, and
Jesse, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lowell T.
Dvorak, brother Elwood F. Dvorak, sister-in-law Agnes W. (Kasprzak)
Dvorak, sister-in-law Geraldine M. (Sesolak) Dvorak and nephew
David K. Dvorak.
His family is planning A Celebration of Life at a later
date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American
Diabetes Association or to the Pinnacle School of Bloomington (www.pinnacleschool.org).
Allen Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Friends can
send condolences to www.allenfuneralhome.org.
