Sending our heart-felt condolences at this most difficult time, but remembering some really good times as well. It was an honor to meet George's family at the reunion. That day two old guys gave the young bucks something to shoot for when pulling a cross-cut saw. Lots of thoughts passing through an old brain, like riding in the back of an Old Stewart truck, the day the 5 brothers ran away from home. He certainly faced some difficult times as a young man, and judging from his choice of avocations, he continued to place himself in difficult situations. May you and your family take comfort in knowing that Box 5-5-5-5 has struck out and that there are many old firefighters waiting to welcome him into the station in the sky.

We will surely miss George. He was more than a neighbor, he was a good friend. He helped us old women out and took care of Scarlet when we had to be away from home. We will miss him greatly, not just for the things he did, but for the goodness in his heart that he had for everyone. Jodie, our prayers are with you. Just give us a call when we can do anything for you.

It has been many days passed since I have crossed paths with most of you but I can still recall the many days I spent in and around your household. Fond memories of a simple, crazy home much like my own where I came and went with very litte notice. I miss those days when all was whole. My sincere condolences on your loss. I remember your father in more than one fashion but my fondest memory was that he always treated me as a young adult rather than a child under foot. I hope that in this time of mourning the memories of your dad will bring smiles to your faces and help to ease the pain in your hearts. Yours Truly, Troy C. Orr

The Frankford Township Fire Department sendS George's family our deepest sympathy. We have lost a Life Member, a Chief, a mentor, a brother firefighter, and a friend. Our Department would not be what it is today, had it not been for the tremendous efforts of so strong a man. Strong in body, mind and spirit. He positively affected each of us. His memory lives on with us. George joined the Frankford Fire Dept in 1968 and dedicated countless hours serving the community he loved, asking nothing in return. He was a dedicated member, involved in all of our activities and projects. Not the least of which was procuring land from the township committee and constructing a second firehouse to better serve the south side of town. During his active tenure George wore many hats. From 1986 through 1988 it was the hat of the Department Chief. Upon his moving away, he was voted in as a Life Member. . . . Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

My sisters and I were saddened and shocked to read of George's passing. Our Dad liked George and appreciated his friendship, and both Mom and Dad thought Jodie and George were good neighbors. Our deepest sympathies to Jodie and the rest of the family. We know George will be greatly missed. Our best wishes to you all. Rick, Sandy Arthur, and Peggy Martin, the children of Robert (Bob) and Katherine Inman.
