Gerald Lee Schomacker, age 78 of Bloomington, passed away early Sunday morning, February 7, 2010. Gerald was born January 26, 1932 in Bedford to Harry and Nell Holmes Schomacker. Upon graduation from high school in Bedford, Gerald went on to electronic training in military technical school. He put those skills to use as he proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Air Force. Gerald spent his professional career in electronics before retiring from Owens Electric. He leaves behind his wife Patsy Lou Owens Schomacker of Bloomington; daughter Peggy Jo Sowash, her husband Tom and their children Thompson and Parker, of Golden, Colorado; son Scott Schomacker, his wife Rhedcy and their daughter Helen of Bloomington; a brother Don Eugene Schomacker and his wife Diane of Kansas City, Missouri, and a sister Mary Lou Craig and her husband Joe, of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services for Gerald will be held Wednesday February 10, 2010 at 2:00PM at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 South Old Highway 37. Visitation will be also held on Wednesday February 10, 2010, from 11:00AM until the time of the service at 2:00PM. Entombment will follow at the Valhalla Memory Gardens
