Julie: It saddens me to the deepest part of my being for your loss! I am so very sorry! Although our ways parted over the years, I still knew, starting in the 9th grade, that we were the very best of friends. We always had the greatest times together filled with tons of laughter and just plain old 'goofiness'. I loved that guy and I will miss him!!! Julie, Allison, Lindsay, Marcie, Adam and your families, please take care of yourselves.

I just moved from my apartment, and mentioned to the leasing agent that I would miss Greg; he always greeted me with a smile and friendly conversation, always remembered my name and was kind enough to hold the door for me on many occasions... not to mention that he would fix things the next day if not the same day whenever I had a problem. Once when my A/C was having problems, he knocked on the door about 20 min after I called the office! When the agent told me he passed, I was shocked and deeply saddened. It gives me comfort to know how many lives he touched, and how he seemed so happy to be able to share his life with his "beautiful wife" and family. (He spoke of his family often.) Such a sweet man. My heart goes out to you.

Words of comfort are so empty when your life has been shattered completely by the loss of someone you loved so dearly. Only time will ease the sorrow from your heart and give you peace. My Fry family is in my heart and my prayers. Duane & I feel so fortunate to have spent last Saturday with him while he reminised about his younger "fun" days!!! I will never forget you, P Gregory Fry!!!

I didn't know Greg, but from what I have read, he sounds like he was a wonderful husband and father to you and your children. I know he will be missed! Dear Julie and Family, When I learned of Greg's passing I was deeply saddened because you, Greg and family were my extended family who helped me with Everything. When I moved to IU and Bloomington, you and Greg have helped me in so many ways that I cannot even count. Greg fixed Anything I needed fixed & even checked out an apartment for me before I moved in. What I will miss the most will be his infectious laugh & his crazy food concoctions that he actually ate. Just when I thought that Greg couldn't eat what he "created" because he asked me if I wanted a bite, he surprised me and ate all of the food himself. Not only will I miss the fun times that we shared, I will also miss the times when we had long talks from anything from computers to current events - of course Greg knew so much more than me, that many times I just listened. Julie, even though we have not talked in a few months please know that my heart goes out to you, Allison, Lindsay, Marcie & Adam. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Maria

Today I found out from my apt’s newsletter that our beloved maintenance technician, Grey Fry, has passed away in July. I was so shocked!! He has solved all my problems regarding on my apt these pass 3 years! He was always so sweet to the residents. He brought sunshine into my apt everytime he came in to fix stuff for me. Our recent conversation was on his new born grand-daughter, to whom he loved so much. I remember the first night I moved in 3 years ago, it was 10pm. He drove here to give me the key to my apt, and he helped me to move my over weight luggages from the lobby to my room. Our last encounter was actually through my temp. tenant. She asked him some questions, and he asked her if I planned to come back or had moved away for good. I was back in August, and had never seen him. I thought it was because I stopped going to school, so I didn’t see him in the hallway. Now that I think about it, one month not seeing him was usual, but I didn’t sense that something was wrong. I really should have cared more. Greg, I actually have prepared a small gift for you. I was going to give it to you next year when I move away as a gesture of thanking you for helping me these 4 years. I would never think that I wouldn’t have a chance to thank you and say goodbye to you in person! Now I can only express my gratitude here. I will really miss you! Parkview is now not the same without you!! You are a big reason to make Parkview feel like home to me.
