I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Manifold's passing. I was a patient of his from 1959 when I was 5 until I moved to Rochester IN in 1999. He always got my diagnosis correct and always had time to listen, not just to my illnesses. I wish there were more doctors like that in Bloomington for my parents. I did find one like him here.

I will forever be thankful for the advice of Mr. Manifold on several occasions. The main one being is the use of the crockpot for a humidifier. This has kept John and I well several winters.

Our deepest sympathy. We remember Doc and his family from his Fortville days. His daughter Cathy and I were good friends in grade school. Played together often. I was Karen Douglas then. Married Eddie Clark, also of Fortville. The picture in the obit brought back memories of Dr. Manifold. Doesn't seem like it's been over 50 years.

I was born and raised in Ingalls,IN where Dr. Manifold and family lived. Dr. Manifold delivered my brothers and was our doctor, often making house calls. Mrs. Manifold was a regular fixture at Ingalls school in the office. After moving to Bloomington in 1994, I was able to become reacquainted with Dr. Manifold and always enjoyed talking, joking and telling stories with him. He never failed to smile and laugh with my co workers and I and wanted to bring us sticks for fire starters. Thank you to a great man, physcian and friend to the Fortville,Greenfield, Ingalls and Bloomington Communities.

Alice and Family: We were saddened to hear of Harold's passing. I'm certain that he is in greater comfort now- but this is never easy for family and friends. You certainly have our prayers and thoughts. From the early Fortville days, trips to the Cabin, and growing up at IU, your family has been my 2nd family, and Harold a 2nd father. I will always cherish the many, many memories. Warmest Regards, Jim & Paula and Family

Dear Manifold Family, I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of the man my late father called "Harold The Bold". I have nothing but wonderful memories of times spent at the cabin on Namakan narrows. Doc taught me the J stroke, secret to canoeing and later trusted me to pilot one of the canoes up to Red Horse. Great fishing, good eating, and sitting in the kitchen listening to tales from "The Bold", Big Dick from Fall Crick and Fast Eddie fueled by Old Forester. I miss those times. Sincere condolences on behalf of Mom, Ned and the rest of us. Charlie
