Harriet Mullis, age 69 of Bloomington passed away Tuesday evening June 7, 2010 at the Bloomington Hospital. She was born January 1, 1941 in Bloomington to Gilbert and Mable Axsom Hillenburg. Harriet is a member of the Knightridge Pentecostal Church and spent her professional career in health care as a home health aide and care giver. Harriet’s life was remarkable for the way she cared for others before herself and leaves behind a large and loving family. Survivors include her husband Larry K. Mullis of Bloomington; daughter Terisa Holley of Bloomington; daughter Tami Behen and her husband Dan of Ellettsville; son Mike Wiley of Unionville; son Brad Mullis and his wife Amanda of Bloomington; daughter Shelly Banks and her husband Jeremy of Bloomington; grandchildren Cory Wiley, Bryan Holley, Stephanie Holley, Dylan Wiley, Ashley  Mullis, Alex Mullis, Gavin Banks; brother Larry Hillenburg and his wife Rita of Bloomingotn; brother Phillip Hillenburg and his wife Margie of Heltonville; sister Virginia Atchley and her husband Jr. of Oden; sister Joanne Haywood of Bloomington; sister Jeannette Payton of Bloomington; and sister Diana Hillenburg also of Bloomington. Harriet was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Robert, twin brother Harry, and Keith Hillenburg. Funeral services for Harriet will be held Thursday June 10, 2010 at 2:00PM at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 South Old Highway 37. Burial will follow at Knightridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held today, Wednesday June 9, 2010 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and Thursday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service at 2:00PM, also at Allen Funeral Home.
