Helen Esther (Prince) Sare, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday June 6, 2010 at Bell Trace Health and Living Center. She was 96 years old.
Born February 26, 1914 in Bloomington, IN, she was the son of J. Ernest and Cora Esther (Neal) Prince. She attended Indiana University, majoring in French. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. Helen was a member of the First Christian Church.
She is survived by her children, Sara E. Owen of Bettendorf, IA, Barbara J. Rudd and husband Richard of Plano, TX, Douglas A. Sare of Bridgetown, MO, David Neal Sare and wife Jennifer of Bloomington, IN, Susan D. Haynes and husband Kingsley of Locust Grove, VA and Beth Ann Sare of Florissant, MO; seventeen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 72 years, Walter A. Sare, one granddaughter Ann Owen, two daughters in law Zee Sare and Sharon Sare and two sisters, Marie Gines and Ruth Evelyn Jones.
There will be no public visitation of services. Private family services will be held at a later date. Allen Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
By suggestion of the family, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church or a charity of one’s choice.
