Herbert Lemon: Sep 19, 1931 - Dec 17, 2011
Herbert Lemon, 80 of Bloomington passed away December 17,
2011 as a result of an accident.
A graduate of Bloomington High School, he served in the
Army during the Korean War and was awarded a Purple Heart and a
Bronze Star with V and was a lifelong member of the VFW.
He retired from the Postal Service and enjoyed traveling,
riding his motorcycle, gardening and took pride in having the best
yard in the area.
He is survived by siblings Sue {Bud}Trowbridge of
Washington, IN and Jack Lemon of Washington, IN, by son's Ken{Kaye}
Lemon of Nashville, TN, Robert{Marcia} Lemon of Thomas
WV and Lesa Meyer of Morgantown, IN.. Grandchildren
include: John{Christy} Lemon of Hermitage, TN, Rebecca
{Jason} Douglas of Donaldson, TN, Laurel Lemon of Boonton, NJ,
Logan Lemon of Morgantown, WV, Sean Nestor of Torrance, CA,
Bryce and Kaylee Meyer of Bloomington. In addition he is
survived by 3 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and
Maudeleen {Kale) Lemon, his wife Pauline {Mullis) Lemon and
daughter Diana {Lemon}Nestor.
A private graveside service will be held at the Valhalla
Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations
be sent to the VFW National Home for Children in Eaton, Rapids,
MI.
