Jean Sims Thomas, 78, of Bloomington passed away on March 30, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Louisville, KY to Damon and Roberta (Mulhall) Sims on April 7, 1931. Jean was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Damon & Roberta Sims and two sisters, Marietta Sturgeon and Maxine Sims. She is survived by her husband John, daughters, Sandra McCrarey of Germantown, TN, and Joyce Thomas of Bloomington, son, Joseph Thomas of Bloomington, sisters, Rita Jarboe of Louisville, KY, and Vandalee Thompson of Naperville, Illinois, one brother, James T. Sims of Louisville, KY, six grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 5 at St. Paul’s Catholic Center in Bloomington, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Catholic Center. Allen Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
