Jerry Norwood Combs, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Garden Villa.  He was 68 years old.

 Born July 9, 1941 in Floyd County, IN he was the son of Clarence and Mary E. (Phillips) Combs.  He was retired from the Monroe County Highway Department.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge.  Jerry was an avid golfer and enjoyed horses.

 He is survived by his children, Gary Allen Combs and wife VaDonna, David Earl Combs and wife Elva, Michael Troy Combs, and Holly Ann Johnson and husband Chris all of Bloomington; his companion Sherry Dugans of Bloomington; two sisters, Dorothy Vaughn of Bloomington and Marie Timberlake of New Albany, IN; Four brothers, Donnie Combs of Bloomington, Butchie Combs and wife Darlene of Evansville, Jimmy Combs of Bloomington and Michael Combs and wife Pam of Bloomington; and twelve grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Junior Combs, F.C. Sullivan and Billy Sullivan and one sister, Rosemary Warren.

 Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 2 at 10:00 am at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old State Road 37, with Pastor Michael Bennett officiating.  Interment will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery.

 Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Allen Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.allenfuneralhome.org.
