Larry Vincent Grubb, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at his residence.  He was 86 years old.

 Born April 4, 1923 in Monroe County, Indiana, he was the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Purcell) Grubb.   He was a graduate of Smithville High School. Larry was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in World War II.  He worked as a stonecutter, and was an avid golfer.  He was a member of Smithville Christian Church.

 He is survived by his wife, Betty L. (Morgan) Grubb of Bloomington, one son, Michael Grubb and his wife Anne of Hurst, TX; one daughter Patricia Farmer and her husband Stephen of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Laura Farmer of Bloomington, Tony Farmer and his wife Stacie of Indianapolis, Elizabeth Grubb and Sarah Grubb of Hurst, TX; Great grandchildren, Lucy Farmer, Eli Farmer, Isaiah Farmer and Isabella Farmer all of Bloomington.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Warren Grubb, sister Eloise Clark, brother Judson Grubb and great granddaughter Katie Farmer.

 Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old State Rd. 37, with burial to follow at Smithville Cemetery.

 Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation or Hospice of Bloomington Hospital.
