Maneta “Penny” Pennington, 96, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital. She was born on August 14, 1914 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Martin Luther and Flora Jane (Harmon) Laughner.   Penny was a Homemaker and a member of the St. Thomas Lutheran Church.  She is survived by her two sons James H. Pennington of Martinsville, IN and Ron A. Pennington of Bloomington, IN; two grandchildren Michael Pennington and Catherine Pennington and two great-grandchildren Amelia Pennington and Nicholas Meadows.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold Pennington and sister Mary Louise Hancock.  Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Lyle McKee officiating. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Thomas Lutheran Church in memory of Penny.
