Dear Christine and Hope, I was saddened to learn of your mother's recent death. She and your father were kind and welcoming to me as a newcomer to Greencastle in 1998 and promptly recruited me to the love and respect for the Julians. I am forever grateful for their advocacy for Percy Julian, for history, and excellence. I also came to deeply vaue their friendship. Knowing that my memories of them are strong, I trust that yours are filled with the richness that is multiplied by the greater number of years in which they filled your lives. My deepest best wishes to you and your extended family at this time of grief. Regards, Neal Abraham

I am very saddened to learn of Aunt Marion's passing but am pleased to note that she died peacefully. I have been keeping in touch by phone with and about her for a long time, and when I last phoned on January 1st she had been sleeping all day and unable to take her meds. I knew then that her remaining time was short. I'm so glad that I knew her in the prime of her life. She was a very intelligent, educated and active woman. I have wonderful memories of her and Uncle Jack. May they now be resting in peace together again. Love, Bob Cook (Moline)

Christine and Hope - I don't know if you remember me - we grew up together on Anderson Street - I lived at 532 Anderson at the park entrance. I wanted to send you my condolences on the death of your mother - I remember all of you very well. I came back to Greencastle in 2003 to take care of my mother when she became ill - she died 4 years ago at age 95. We were lucky to have had our mothers for such a long time. My thoughts are with you. Barbara Black
