             Mary E. Masters, 86, of Bloomington passed away on Thursday, July 5,, 2012 at I.U. Health- Hospice House.  She was born in Monroe County on December 4, 1925 the daughter of Clarence and Rachel (Still) Dodson and was a graduate of Bloomington High School Class of 1945.  She retired as a longtime Avon sales representative and was a charter member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. 

            An avid camper, Mary and her family enjoyed many years of meeting new friends and renewing old acquaintances as members of the Traveling Turtles Club #82, Hoosier Schooners of Columbus, IN and the Family Camper RV Club (formerly the National Campers and Hikers Association).  She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Bloomington.

            Survivors include her two daughters, Sharon K. Masters of Bloomington, and Jan Edwards and husband Joe of Nashville, TN., her son and daughter-in-law, Richard "Rick" and Maryann Masters of Bloomington, and her grandson and wife, Jesse and Debbie Calvert of Mooresville, IN.

            She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Masters in 1994, two sisters, Amma Bales and Marie Hicks and three brothers, Clarence "Diz" Dodson, Donald Dodson and infant brother James Dodson.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Juy 10th at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Bloomington with Rev. Frank VanAllen officiating.  Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.  Friends may call at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old St. Rd. 37 on Monday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday one hour preceding the services.

            Memorial contributions may be made to I.U. Health Hospice House, PO Box 1149, Bloomington, IN  47402.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenfuneralhome.org.

    Sharon, we was so sorry to here of Mary's passing she was a beautiful lady.
