To the family of Mrs Chandler- I am sorry to hear of your loss. I was a student of Mrs Chandler and loved her very much. I was sad that I wasnt able to come visit her in Bloomington before she passed. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

I want to extend my sympathy to Mrs. Chandler's familyi. What a wonderful lady she was. I didn't have her as a teacher at Morgantown Elementary School, but I was able to be her "assistant" for a year. I learned so much from her about how to make students feel special and worthy of a good education. I fear that there are not many Mary Chandler's left in this world! Please know that I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Chandler had a profound impact on many students' lives.

I am very sorry to hear about Ms. Chandlers passing. She was with out a doubt my favorite teacher through my 12 years at Indian Creek. She made learning fun and was always in good spirits. I will never forget her candy box she kept in her closet. She would always hand out candy to all of us and made sure Mr. Don DeHart (principal) never found out. :) What a great lady! Ms. Chandler will indeed be missed.

I am blessed to have had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Chandler at Morgantown Elementary and of having her as a teacher for my daughters. What a positive impact she had on so many lives! She was one of the most compassionate people I ever met. The Facebook messages and compliments for her from former students and co-workers have brought back many wonderful memories. It is so hard to believe that her death and the one of Mr. Horton came so closely together. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Mary Chandler was the testament of what a good human being should be. She was kind, compassionate, caring, loving, and patient. Second grade was always fun with Ms. Chandler as my teacher. She taught me to read and write proficiently, and I am forever greatful. She also taught me what Luster's candy was - as she loved to pass the candy tin around often. As I think back, I wonder if she did that just to keep our mouths quiet just for a few minutes - as Luster's candy was one of the longest lasting too-hard-to-crunch candies ever made... Another thing I will always treasure is the $2 bill she sent me on my birthday, addressed to "Master Bryan Wolfe" in the US Mail the summer after having her as my teacher. I still have that bill to this day. The world is a much better place due to the love, skill, and chosen profession of Ms. March Chandler, and I am so thankful that I was able to be taught by her. I am so sorry for your loss, and may god give you comfort and peace during this difficult time.
