Mary Rita (Lateulere) Klausmeier, 84, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010 after a long illness. She was the daughter of Antoine Faustin and Villa Mary (North) Lateulere born on October 13, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois, but spent most of her formative years in Evansville, Indiana.
Mary was a piano teacher for nearly forty years. She was an active member and served for a number of years as the organists for St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, and more lately had been attending St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She also was a member of Friday Musicale and the Bloomington Piano Teachers Association.
Mary is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years Robert “Bob” Klausmeier of Bloomington; four children Robert Klausmeier Jr. of Carmel, Stephen Klausmeier of Hartsville, South Carolina, Jane Klausmeier of Stinesville and Sarah Fritz of Nelson, New Zealand; eleven grandchildren and one brother William Lateulere.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother John Lateulere.
There will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass and a chance to visit with family members will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Piano Academy of Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in memory of Mary.
