| Date Of Death: | February 3, 2010 |
| Service Date: | February 10, 2010 |
Maurice (Bob) Garrison passed away Feb. 3 at the age of 64. The second son of George A. and Bernice (Turpin) Garrison, Bob was born Feb. 23, 1945 in Bloomington, Ind. Survivors include two daughters, Tracey Meadows of Franklin, Ind., and Deborah Shelby of Tennessee; one son, Daniel Garrison of Champaign, Ill.; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Patricia and James Webb; Betty and Roger Taylor; Susie Bunch; Sandra and Gerald Hollers; and Dottie and David Boswell, all of Bloomington; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard (Dick) and Cindy Garrison of Fountain Inn, S.C., and Timmy and Teresa White of Bloomington; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was a drywall finisher. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robert (Bobby) Garrison; a brother, Stanley (Butch) Garrison; granddaughter Christina Abbott; and two nieces, Amanda Emory and April Flick. Bob will be sorely missed by a large and loving family. We will miss his wit and wisdom; the former we so enjoyed and the latter we so admired. The school of life taught him much. It seemed he knew a little something about everything. Books were one of his passions, as was music, and he was a lover of cats. He was generous, hard-working and strong-willed. Bob was never at a loss for words. He could be counted on to provide an irreplaceable observation no matter what the situation. For many of us, this trait defined him best. Bob’s quips will continue to make us laugh. We should not be sad because he’s gone; we should smile because we knew him. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wed., Feb. 10, at Allen Funeral Home 4155 South Old Highway 37. Rev. Lloyd Swango will officiate. Friends may call Tues. from 2-8 p.m. at Allen Funeral Home and one hour before the service. Interment will be at Knightridge Cemetery.
