| Michael Maurice Zerface |
| Date Of Birth: | April 16, 1963 |
| Date Of Death: | August 12, 2011 |
| Service Date: | August 18, 2011 |
Michael Maurice Zerface, age 48, passed away suddenly Friday August
12, 2011 while working. The best part of us has gone to heaven. He
was a lineman by trade and was raised in Bloomington. Mike
graduated from Bloomington High School South in 1981. He
participated in baseball, football, running track and had a
particular passion for playing tennis with his wife, and pick-up
basketball with the boys. Mike loved life and to all that know him,
he was the most genuine person you could ever meet. Mike loved his
pets; favorite dog Abby and cat Thompson. Mike was born in
Minnesota in 1963 and was a longtime Minnesota Vikings fan, and as
Mike would tell everyone, Peyton Manning is the greatest
quarterback ever! So he also loved the Colts. He also loved Indiana
University sports and couldn't wait for football and basketball
seasons to begin. He worked hard, played hard, and loved hard. Mike
was the son of Connie Zerface Chambers and the late Bill Zerface.
He leaves behind his wife Judith Ann (Judy) Zerface of Danville;
two sons William Matthew "Matt" Zerface, and Mitchell Lee "Mitch"
Zerface; six month old grandson Levi Michael Zerface; three
sisters, Lori Stapleton and her husband Phil, Terrri Jo Smithson,
and Juli Forrest and her husband Metro, all of Bloomington; two
brothers Bob Zerface and Brandon Zerface and wife Sarah of Florida,
and his mother Connie Zerface Chambers. He also leaves behind
several uncles, aunts, and nieces, and nephews whom he adored.
Funeral services for Mike will be held Thursday August 18, 2011 at
2:00PM at Allen Funeral Home 4155 South Old Highway 37. Visitation
will be the same day, Thursday, from 10:00AM until 2:00PM also at
Allen Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the
family and online condolences may be sent to the family at
www.allenfuneralhome.org.
