Nancy Louise Allen Fancher, 68                      

 On the fifth of May, Nancy passed unexpectedly in the early hours of the day as she slept. Nancy loved all of nature and was passionate about caring for animals large and small. Their family of animals was composed of horses, a selection of dogs, a variety of birds and a cat. She and her husband of 48 years created a home of their dreams which was surrounded by Nancy's gardens and flowers. Nancy attended Davis University in Davis, California majoring in pre veternarian medicine and accounting. She graduated with a degree in Accounting from Sacramento State University. She ran her own business as Diablo Accounting Services. Upon retirement Nancy and Rodger returned to Bloomington the home of Nancy's youth.  Nancy is survived by her husband Rodger C. Fancher, son David C. Fancher and daughter Charlene Wadsworth (John); six grandchildren Kathleen, Jennifer, Stewart, Christina, Daniel and Lydia Wadsworth. Others surviving include siblings: Dr. Lawrence E. Allen (Renee), Judith D. Collins (Albert) and David L. Allen (Cathy); sister-in-law Rowena Losey Sloan; cousins Rosalie Rayl Evans (Harold) and Donna Rayl Evans (Jack) and several nephews and nieces.  Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Leonard C. Allen and Dorothy Rayl Allen.  Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2011 at Allen Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Valhalla Memory Gardens at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to Pets Alive or Monroe County Humane Society.

    I will miss Nancy and I am glad that she was around to keep my mom and dad company out at the Pointe. No doubt that she was a light in their presence. We will miss her.
