              Norma Jean Blackwell, 80, of Bloomington died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at her residence.  She was born on March 3, 1931 the daughter of Homer F. and Mary (Faucett) Perry.  She was a longtime homemaker and proud mother, grand-mother and great grandmother.  She was also a member of the Assembly of God church.

            Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law, Valerie and Randy Nikirk and Vicki and Montgomery "Monty" Fowler, all of Bloomington, four grandchildren; Rachel (husband Mike) Heady, Matthew Nikirk, Grant Fowler and Hollyn Fowler, one great grandchild, Michael Heady and one sister, Marjore L. Hughes of Bloomington.

            She was preceded in death by her husband in June of this year, Leithel Blackwell, one granddaughter, Erin Michelle Nikirk four sisters; Blanche Sylvester, Dorothy Hardy, Ida Voightschild and Ethel Voightschild and four brothers; Leland Perry, Chester Perry, John Perry and Robert Wayne Perry.

            Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old St. Rd. 37 with Rev. Doug Carter officiating.  Burial will be at Clover Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour preceding the services on Friday.
