Norman Jackson Baker, 94, of Martinsville passed away early Tuesday morning at the Manor Care Nursing Center in Indianapolis with his family by his side. Born on December 27, 1915 in Bloomington, he was the son of George W. and Mary R. (Clark) Baker. Norman retired in 1977 as a janitor for the Monroe County Community School Corporation. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Norman is survived by his three children, George Timothy Baker of Bloomington, Nancy Ellen Lower of Arkansas, and Helen Annette Bryant of Indianapolis; three grandchildren Brandy, Amanda, and Brandon; and four great grandchildren Ethan, Zach, Gracie, and Brylan. Norman was preceded in death by his parents and wife Mildred Pauline Baker (Nov. 2003.) Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Russell Elkins officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11-2 Friday at the funeral home.
