Patricia Ann Preston, 83, of Bloomington, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Meadowood Health Pavilion. She was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on July 20, 1927, the daughter of William A. and Helen E. (Vaughan) Freeman. Purdue, Stanford, and Ball State Universities prepared Pat for a career in teaching. She taught at Crawfordsville High School, Muncie Burns High School and Ball State University. She married Robert M. Preston June 21, 1958. Pat is survived by her husband Bob of Bloomington, Indiana; daughter Colleen Zurek (Mike) of Highland Park, Illinois; two sons Patrick Preston of Seattle, Washington and John Preston of Bloomington, Indiana; and five grandchildren. She was a longstanding member of St. Mary’s Church in Muncie, Indiana. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2011 in the lounge at Meadowood Health Pavilion.
