Patricia J. Hess, 69, of Bloomington passed away at her residence on Saturday March 27, 2010.
She was born on November 25, 1940 in Monroe County to Murl and Marie (Prince) Hillenburg.
Patricia had worked for R.C.A. Thomson for 33 years before retiring in 1998.
She was very active in the Moose Lodge 1081 where she was past senior Regents. She belonged to the American Legion and Eagles 1085. Pat loved camping, boating, fishing, and riding golf carts at Boggs Lake.
She is survived by her husband Ronald Hess; three daughters, Tina Smith and her husband Brian of Bloomington, IN, Yvonne Reed and her husband Steve of Springville, IN, Denise Kindred of Martinsville, IN,; one son Steven L. Owings,; three step-children, David and Cheryl Hess of Nashville, IN, Ruth and Phillip Page of Mount Eden, KY, Rhonda and Kent Backus of Salem, IN,; one brother Morris Hillenburg and Venetta of Heltonville, IN, and one sister Barbara Hatchetts of Nashville, IN. She also has 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Dorothy Deckard and Thelma Stward, one niece and one nephew.
Visitation will be from 2-6pm on Wednesday March 31, 2010 at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington, IN. Services will follow the visitation at 6pm on Wednesday.
