Paul R. Elliott, 84, of Bloomington and formerly of Naples. FL
passed away on Monday, August 29th at I.U.
Health-Bloomington Hospital. He was born in Ellettsville,
Indiana on September 2, 1926 the son of Frank Elliott and Elsie Mae
(Headdy) Elliott-Thomas. He retired from Conditioned Air of
Naples and had previously worked for the Westinghouse Corp. in
Bloomington, Carrell Heating and Air Conditioning and Masters
Welding. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and attended
the Zion Church of the Nazarene. He was a member of the First
Church of the Nazarene in Ft. Myers, Fl. Paul especially
enjoyed is family, doing woodworking and gardening, seeing things
grow.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn L. (Barrow) Elliott,
one son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Michael and Theresa Elliott of
Petersburg, IN, five grandchildren, Joshua Cornwall, Laura
Cornwall, Jonathan Elliott, Shauna Elliott and Lydia Elliott( who
shared his birthday) and two great grandchildren, Zachary and Julia
Cornwall. Also surviving are two sisters, Genelle Kearney of
Texas and Erma Rose Fox of Plainfield, IN.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Cornwall, three
sisters; Catherine Parrish, Leota Terman and Lorean Edwards and
four brothers; James Lowell Elliott, Charles Elliott, Herman
Elliott and Winfred Headdy.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept.
1st at the Zion Church of the Nazarene, 6287 W. Ratliff
Rd. with Pastor's Andy Hughes and Jim Barr officiating.
Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens where the Veterans Honor
Guard will conduct Military Graveside rites. Friends may call
at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old St. Rd. 37 in Bloomington from
4:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31st at the church
on Thursday one hour preceding the services.
