As neighbors of Rick's for many years in Moss Creek, we are so sorry to know of his death last Tuesday. We were aware of the police on the scene and had hoped for a better outcome. We enjoyed the Christmas decorations each year and offer our sympathy to the family for a life snuffed out so young.

I want to express my heartfelt condolences to Rick's family and his friends. We grew up together in Glendale, attending RD White, Wilson Jr. High and Glendale High schools. Rick was a close friend for many years, as was his brother, Jon. They were regulars at our house and we had some great times together. We also attended the LDS 3rd Ward in Glendale. I will always remember going to the LA Kings' hockey games; the Dodger games; and playing a mean game of cement hockey with Rick. I loved his parents very much. My mom adored both Rick and Jon. We all played many a game of Hearts at their home on Geneva St. and later at their new home on Isabel St. Rick had a kind and generous heart and was one of the finest men I've ever known. I will always remember driving around in his parent's old Dodge Dart after Rick hot his driver's license listening to one of his favorite bands, "The Guess Who." Please know that all of you, especially Nathan and Emily, are in my prayers and thoughts. Though we lost touch over the years, Rick always remained dear to my heart. God bless you all. Rest well dear friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with Ricks family members. He was a friend and co-worker with my late husband, Steve. He has been my insurance agent for many years and helped me with his knowledge. I will always remember his kindness during the passing of my husband. May God be with you all.

Rick was a dear friend, pal, and my insurance agent for over 20 years. I will miss my friend greatly especially our occasional cheap Chinese dinner dates. Your dad/grandpa was a wonderful guy and always had a joke, story, or something great to share about your lives that made him very proud. My heart goes out to Nate, Wendy, Luke, and Emily you're in my thoughts and prayers. I know, he's playing golf in heaven where the greens are forever glorious green.
