Rita K. Bowers, 58, of Bloomington, IN passed away at Bloomington Hospital on Friday February 25, 2011. She had fought a long battle with many health problems. Rita was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her children and 6 grand-children. She was born on December 21, 1952 in Bloomington, IN to Glen and Irene (Secrest) Richardson.
Rita leaves behind four children: Samual Bowers of Bloomington, Daughters Elizabeth Ford, of Nashville, IN, Mariam Bowers of Bedford, Lakeshia Bowers of Bloomington. She also leaves behind a sister Laura Irene “Sue” Richardson of Ellettsville.
A Memorial Service will be at 6pm on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington, IN. Visitation will be from 5-6pm prior to services.
