Kim, Becky, and David, When Robert didn't answer his phone for too many weeks, I googled him and discovered that he had passed away a month ago. If you remember me, you know that he was a huge influence on my life. He and Cynthia made me the adult I am, probably more than my parents did. I hope his passing was peaceful. The world has lost a wonderful person of integrity, love, strengh, and hope. In the spring, I will add another "for-Cynthia,"( as my daughter called it when I first planted it), to my yard. Every spring, we pronounce it "glorious." I loved both of your parents enormously and my heart goes out to you in your loss. Gail Driscoll Fiorini--who used to live in your house in State College.

I remember going to Bob and Cynthia's home at 712 McKee Street in State College, PA. There was always room for one more at the table and the table always had the best food. Bob was a true mentor in those years of the Vietnam War and when I was trying to figure out what I should do with my life. I am still learning because that was something Bob taught all his life: never stop learning; never stop asking questions; never believe there was only one way to explore life's most challenging issues... Peace to Kim and Becky and David and all your families. Gary McCaslin

My very belated condolences to all the Boyer clan. Over the years, I would make an annual call to Robert around the time of his birthday in September to discuss Penn State football in particular and life in general. He was a wonderful influence - caring, supportive and stridently independent in his thinking. He will be missed.

My maiden name was Kathe Gallagher, and Robert was my wonderful Uncle Bob. I have so many fond memories of him and Aunt Cynthia - and of course our wonderful grandparents, Charlie and Pearl Boyer. I've thought so many times about Uncle Bob and my consigns, trying to locate them via Google. But I never had any luck. I would LOVE to hear from Kim, Becky and David. Please get in touch. Robert and Cynthia did wonderful things in the world, and I like to think that I have been able to continue the tradition in some small way. And here's what I know for sure: God is good, all the time.
