Robert J. Roby, age 73 of Freedom, Indiana passed away early Friday morning November 12, 2010 in the Bloomington Hospital. He was born August 30, 1937 in Monroe County to Robert Herschel and Kathryn Marie Ritter Roby. Robert spent his professional both as a mason and working with Animal Control for the City of Bloomington. After retirement he spent his time enjoining outdoor activities especially hunting and fishing. Robert was of the Pentecostal Faith. He leaves behind Marlene Clay Roby Edwards of Freedom; son James Roby and his wife Ronda of Ellettsville; son Richard Roby and Donna Maxey of Spencer, and a daughter, Mary Susie Grogan and her husband Daniel of Bloomington. Robert is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Deborah Lou Starr and a son Robert Lee Roby. Funeral Services for Robert will be held Monday November 15, 2010 at 12:00 noon at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 South Old highway 37.
