Again, words cannot express my sorrow in the passing of Bob. He was an awesome individual and man of God. Bob will also be in my heart as well as you all. Bob was such and encouragement and help to me while I was in college and I will never forget that.
Allow me to show you some comfort from Scripture as you walk through this chapter. I know it is a familiar passage and I am sure you will be hearing it for a while but hold to these words as you think about Bob's passing and I am sure it will bring you comfort:
I Thessalonians 4:13-18
13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.15 For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
Paul told us to comfort each other with these words and that is what I am doing. We will all be reunited someday in Heaven. I cannot wait! Just know I am praying for you all. Sorry I cannot be there in person but know I am with you in Spirit.

Adrian

We are grieved for your loss of your husband, and father, Bob. How can it be true? It feels like a bad dream that you will awaken from.
Bob was such a wonderful person, and he touched so many lives. He was a blessing to everyone who knew him. He will be missed by many people, both near and far.
Melissa, I've been pondering your favorite passage these past few days, and how appropriate it seems right now. Proverbs 3:6
"Trust in The Lord with all thine heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths."

I know death, yet no words can really express what sadness you are feeling at the death of your husband/dad. It's is sad because your husband/dad is missing from your human life, yet a happy occasion because Bob is with his Father, whom I know he dearly loved. I pray that you be blessed with Jesus' strength and courage to carry you through this trial and, according to God's time, may He bring peace and contentment back into your lives. Until then, please know that those who love you are praying for you.
Remember...I love you! Take care, my Friends...
Blessings, hugs, and much love...Arlene
