Robert W. Sims, 75, of Bloomington died on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Monroe County on February 13, 1935 the son of William and Freda (Lawrence) Sims. He retired from Indiana University maintenance department and previously worked in the limestone industry.

Robert especially loved being outdoors, camping and fishing as well as hunting. He also liked to go to flea markets.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn (Fleetwood) Sims, one daughter, Gale Sims and one son, Michael Sims, all of Bloomington. One sister, Erma Deckard of Bloomington also survives.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2001 at Valhalla Memory Gardens Mausoleum chapel. There will be no visitation. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenfuneralhome.org.
