Roger Craig Hunt, 77, of Bloomington died on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Bloomington. He was born on Feb. 4, 1933 the son of Charles W. and Mary (Blough) Hunt. He retired as a retail sales manager in the ceramic and stone tile business. He also held positions in teaching, government service and sales. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
His survivors include his daughter Holly Chaille, Holly’s husband Tom and their daughter Claire, of Ft. Wayne, IN; his son-in-law Jay Showalter and his daughters Ping and Thea of Bloomington, and his son Craig, Craig’s wife Bevin and their daughters, Neassa, Sinead, and Aine, of White Plains, NY and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary (Callahan) Hunt, two brothers, Jack Hunt and Phillip and his daughter, Elizabeth (Lissa) Eve Hunt.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, Dec. 31st at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 2120 N. Fee Lane in Bloomington. Friends may greet the family at a reception following the service.
Roger was a Mark Twain aficionado and an avid poker and horse player. “The Impartial Friend: Death, the only immortal who treats us all alike, whose pity and whose peace and whose refuge are for all—the soiled and the pure, the rich and the poor, the loved and the unloved.”
