Rosie (Roosevelt) Newsome, 82, of Bloomington passed away December 17, 2011 at the Garden Villa Nursing Home. She was born in Osceola, Arkansas on August 1, 1929 to Garrett and Maria (Gary) Roosevelt. Rosie was a homemaker and loving mother.

She is survived by her children, Pamela Newsome of South Bend, IN, Isaiah Newsome II and his wife Cherri of Bloomington, IN, DeBorah Newsome of Bloomington, IN, Cordett Newsome of South Bend, IN, sister, L.T. Newsome, grandchildren, NeShia Newsome, Isaiah Newsome III, Brandy Doaks, Randall Doaks, Nicole Newsome and a host of great-grandchildren and friends.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter Letha Williams.

I just learned of Ms. Newsome's death through the newspaper. My heartfelt condolences to all her loved ones. She was a lovely, strong, and strong-willed woman with lots of personality. I'm glad to have known her and taken care of her as her physician for the last few years.
